Enigma Puzzle Codes

When you solve the enigma puzzles, you will receive codes you can enter from the menu to unlock new game modes. Each code has two rows of numbers to enter.

999 Mode (unlimited ammo, unlimited grenades, 999 overcharged health, and Uber difficulty):

Four Cheats to Unlock

Schummeln

Complete the game to unlock a menu with four cheats you can enable: Pumpkin Heads, Infinite Money, Unlock All Veil Powers, and Unlock All Weapons.

However, achievements/trophies can't be earned with cheats enabled.

Recording Locations

Hinweise

There are three recordings you can find as you explore the various levels, and once you find all of them, it will unlock the full song in the pause menu. Search the locations below to find all three.

  1. Recording #1 - In the resistance's base in Chapter 5, go through the hall with the television screens. In the room on the other side, head up and into the room on the left to find the recording.
  2. Recording #2 - In Chapter 7, when you reach the room with a hole in the wall, there should be a set of rakes to your right. Search around them to find the recording.
  3. Recording #3 - In Chapter 9, the final recording is in a hallway near the upper part of the map.

Killing Particle Cannon-wielding Nazis

Hinweise

The particle cannon-wielding Nazis have targets on their shoulders. You can kill them more easily if you take out the targets first with your Mire ability. When the two shoulder targets have been destroyed, a third will appear on the Nazi's back. Destroy that one as well to be victorious.

Upgrade Weapons

Hinweise

Use your money to upgrade your weapons, rather than your skills. You'll get upgrades for all of your skills when you find the last "Tome of Power," which will save you money.

Wolfenstein 3D First Level

When you reach the resistance movement's HQ, go up to the top floor. There is a mattress lying on the ground. Focus in on it to receive the option to enter a "nightmare." If you accept, you'll enter the first level of Wolfenstein 3D.

Best Weapons

Hinweise

Different weapons are betters for different situations.

  • The assault rifle is fast, and it's well-suited for fighting small robots, hounds, turrets, and enemies at long range, but it isn't the best choice for dual-wielding.
  • The automatic shotgun is powerful for fighting at close range and dual-wielding, but it isn't good for fighting distant enemies or enemies above you.
  • The modified laser cutter is very strong and effective against both human enemies and giant robots, but it will need to be recharged after only a short amount of use. Save it for especially tough enemies or large groups.

Dual Wielding

Hinweise

When you dual-wield weapons, your accuracy will be lowered because of your inability to use sights, and reloading will take longer.

Throwing Knives

Hinweise

Don't try to use throwing knives against robots. It usually won't work.

Stealth and the Environment

Hinweise

When you're using stealth, make sure to take the environment into account. For example, you can usually find a place to hide to wait until the guards pass you by.

Enigma Code Locations Guide

To solve the enigma puzzles on your own, you will need to collect all of the code pieces. They will appear like pieces of paper. Search the areas described below to find all of them.

Chapter 1

  • Code #1 - Near the start, you will have to blow up a door to proceed. Once you do so and climb over it, turn right to see a door. Go through the door to enter a bunker, where you'll find the code.
  • Code #2 - When you reach the balcony with the artillery gun, head left, climb up the stairs, and enter the door on the right. You'll see three switches on the wall. Pull the first one, then the third, and then the second to open a secret area. The code is on the table inside.
  • Code #3 - After you are saved from the robotic hound, enter the area it came from to find the code on top of some crates.
  • Code #4 - In the castle, make your way to the room that has the broken floor. Jump through the broken floor into the area below. The code is on a crate to your left.
  • Code #5 - In the castle, when you reach the room with the spiral staircase and the painting of the general, approach the statue on the left side of the painting and pull on the sword. The painting will move to reveal a secret area. Go inside, up the stairs, and down the passage until you reach a vent. Kill the guard on the other side and pick up the code from the table.
  • Code #6 - In the open area at the center of the castle, start at the mounted machine gun and head right. You'll pass a door marked with a swastika and reach a partially-destroyed wall. Search around it to find the code.
  • Code #7 - At the part where you have to search for the key to the locked doors, go to the northern part of the room and open the drawer on the right. The code is inside.

Chapter 2

  • Code #8 - As you go to find Anya, you'll reach a stairwell where the upper stairs are blocked by furniture and debris. Search the ground nearby to find the code.

Chapter 3

  • Code #9 - Outside in the rain, there is a broken pipe visible in front of the building to your left. Enter the pipe to find the code in the right corner on the other side.
  • Code #10 - Leave the pipe and go forward, then head left past the building. You'll eventually find a small office with the code posted alongside several sketches on the left exterior wall.
  • Code #11 - Leave the office behind and go north until you reach the larger building. Go up the stairs, into the entrance on your left, and through the bunk bed room. In the next area, go up the left staircase into a room where the code waits on the far table.
  • Code #12 - At the part where your objective is to raise the platform, you should go northwest and up the stairs. From that room, go through the right door and pick up the nearby code.
  • Code #13 - In the room with the large screen, head south to find a set of lockers, one of which is open and contains the code.
  • Code #14 - Return to the room with the screen and head right, into the garage. The code is on the floor of the car, on the front passenger's side.
  • Code #15 - When you're outside later on, on your way to the car, there is a truck parked nearby in front of a building. Enter the building and search it until you find the code on top of a radio, near a table and some chairs.

Chapter 4

  • Code #16 - After you have the laser gun, you should eventually reach an office area with files at the end of a table. Take them, and then go to the other side of the room, where you'll find an open drawer. Put the retrieved files in the drawer. This will open up a new area. Inside, the code is in the briefcase.
  • Code #17 - When you reach the nice office that has windows, search the desk for the next code.
  • Code #18 - During the course of the chapter, you'll reach a large room with an open vent in it. Crawl through the vent, and a robot will begin chasing you. Go right and slide beneath the pipes. There will be a door beneath you, but it is chained shut. Open it with your laser gun to fall through. Use the laser gun again to cut through the fence to your left. When you see the stairs, climb up them and grab the code from the floor.
  • Code #19 - Follow the "4 Abteilung" signs until you reach a gray hall. Enter the second open door on your left, go to the end of the room, and search the briefcase on your right.
  • Code #20 - While escaping the prison, enter the central office and search the desk.
  • Code #21 - Turn right from the central office and make your way to the end of the hall, where you should take the stairs to your left. To the southwest of the stairs, go through the hall until you reach another staircase. Upstairs, the code is in an open case.

Chapter 6

  • Code #22 - After the statue falls, follow the wall northeast. When you find a pile of rubble with a corpse in it, search beside the corpse for the code.
  • Code #23 - When the robot pushes you back on your way to the Moon Dome, turn right and search behind a pile of rubble to find the code.
  • Code #24 - When you reach the area with the satellite on the rooftop, enter the small room left of the stairs and grab the code from on top of a chair.
  • Code #25 - In the Moon Dome, the next code is sitting on the control table in the control room.
  • Code #26 - In the lab on the way to the hangar, the next code is on the shelf to your right.
  • Code #27 - In the hangar, search around the crates beneath the right helicopter area.
  • Code #28 - After you find the previous code, go right and upstairs to reach the control room. The next code is behind the control boxes.
  • Code #29 - Go to the end of the hangar and climb the ladder to reach a vent. Go through the shaft into the left office to find the next code.

Chapter 8

  • Code #30 - After you drop down through the hatch with the corpses beneath it, go up the steps and turn right to find the code on top of a container.
  • Code #31 - In the furnace room, go right and up the stairs to the catwalk. Cross over to the other side and head right to reach a room. In the room, the code is on a trolley to your right.
  • Code #32 - Leave that room and head down the hall. Turn right and enter a room, where the code is on a shelf along the wall.
  • Code #33 - Leave that room and head left. Pass the barred doors for now and go into the next room on your right. The code is in a drawer at the far side of the room.
  • Code #34 - In the open area during your search for the battery, go left past the dumpster marked "5" and use the wooden beams there to reach an open window. Inside, go through the second door and collect the code from an open drawer.
  • Code #35 - From there, go downstairs and turn right. Go into the blue closet to find the next code.
  • Code #36 - Go downstairs again and search the trolley for the code.
  • Code #37 - Head to the northeast from there and then enter the garage. The code is in an open closet.

Chapter 10

  • Code #38 - As you pilot the tunnel glider, use a laser to break through the chains that bar the door and go through. Turn left and leave the glider. To your left, there is a pipe vent with a narrow passage near it. Enter the passage and swim until you reach an above-water area. Keep going on foot until you reach an area with mattresses. Go to the right of the mattresses to find a table with the code on it.
  • Code #39 - The second time you need to fill the area with water, enter the water to the left of the controls. To your right, there should be a doorway you can go through. Do so, climb up the latter, and pick up the code from the crate.
  • Code #40 - When you need to cut the mines free to clear a path, cut down the middle mine and then go up the stairs to the left to get the code from on top of a crate.
  • Code #41 - Once you do that, return to the mine area and swim deeper underwater to find a new mine. Cut it free and then enter the newly-opened tunnel. Head up the stairs to your left and grab the code from the shelf to the left of the shut door.
  • Code #42 - Next, go through the door and fall through the hole in the floor. On the platform below, make your way through the pipe and up the ladder to get the code from a shelf.
  • Code #43 - Head along the left section of railroad tracks until you reach the stairs to your left. To the right of the stairs, you can crouch and crawl beneath them to grab a code.
  • Code #44 - Now head up the stairs and go to the tower. Take the left path and enter the door. The code is on the first shelf.
  • Code #45 - After that, keep going and use the switch to open the gate. Inside, go upstairs and into the left area, where you should cross over to the other side of the catwalk. Take the first door on the left. The code is waiting near the controls.

Chapter 11

  • Code #46 - In the room with the bombs, go upstairs and make your way to the charge station for the laser. You should see two doors. If you are playing through the Furgus timeline, go through the left door. If you are plaything through the Wyatt timeline, go through the door across from the charge station. Once you're through, open the vent with your laser and collect the code from the bed.
  • Code #47 - Leave the room and continue past the charge station until you reach a room with red lighting and lockers. The code is on a shelf to the right of the lockers.
  • Code #48 - Leave the room with the lockers and go right. Enter the room on your left. The code is on top of a drawer on the ground.
  • Code #49 - In the room with the computer screens, while you're trying to raise the buoys, go to the left side of the room and climb the stairs up to the catwalk. The code is by the controls.
  • Code #50 - Go back down and continue forward through the doors. Turn left and enter a small room where the code sits on a table.

Chapter 12

  • Code #51 - Climb the ladder into the broken train and make your way to the last train car. Climb off and head right to find a corpse with a briefcase. Cut the case free of the chain to make it drop and reveal the code.
  • Code #52 - Keep on going past the train and jump to the lower car, then across the broken part of the bridge. Go forward and enter the open door on your left. Head upstairs and search the floor for the next code.
  • Code #53 - Return to the edge and jump down to reach the car that you used to jump over to the other side. Go inside. At the far end, you can crouch and crawl to the left to find another code.
  • Code #54 - After that, turn back the way you came and craw out the right side to find yet another code.
  • Code #55 - Enter the train cabin to the left and make your way up the fallen beam to reach a new cabin. The next code is by the seats on the left side.
  • Code #56 - When you see the robot cabin before you hit the checkpoint, head to the right to climb high enough to get on the cabin's roof. Make your way across the beams and platforms until you reach the code on the floor.
  • Code #57 - When you return to the bridge and see the room marked "2B," take the stairs and head left. Jump down to the area where the machine gun is mounted and cut through the vent cover on the floor. Go through the vent and destroy the crates in the room beyond to find the next code.
  • Code #58 - When you reach car #6, there will be an office to your right. The code is hidden in the office safe.

Chapter 13

  • Code #59 - When you find a person on a bunk bed during your search for the space suit, search the bathroom to find the code.
  • Code #60 - Go to the left large room at the north side of the building and search the table to find the next code.
  • Code #61 - Leave that room and enter the nearby decontamination chamber. From there, go into the circular room and climb the stairs. Upstairs, find the lab and search for a vent along the left wall. Go through, drop down, enter the new room up ahead, and pick up the code from a desk to your left.
  • Code #62 - When you begin to search for the keycode, enter the office to your left. The code is on the desk.
  • Code #63 - When your search takes you to the domed building, go up to find the code in with the machines.
  • Code #64 - Once you leave that building, head north and search for a room with a round table. The code is on the table.

Chapter 14

  • Code #65 - After you enter the building by way of the rope, take care of the enemies and pick up the code from the bench.
  • Code #66 - After you use the rope to enter the building, go to the opening on the left side and shoot the chain to lower the planks so you can proceed. Continue forward, turn, and shoot the chain to lower the plank to your left. Go down and enter through the blue door. The code is on a table in the first room to your right.
  • Code #67 - During the helicopter fight, a code is hidden in the rubble to your left.
  • Code #68 - Keep going forward to fight three more enemies, and then pick up the next code from beside the "Heimat" cloth.
  • Code #69 - From there, go in the opposite direction, into the ruins. Make your way to the platform near the yellow pipe, and then go left and drop down to a new area. Go left to get the code from an open drawer.

Chapter 16

  • Code #70 - In the castle, on your way to find the cells, enter the room to the right. The code is in an open drawer.
  • Code #71 - When you reach the round room with a descending set of stairs, go down and enter the first room on the right. Go through the door by the trolley and head right to collect the code from a bench.
  • Code #72 - In the medical lab, the final code is on the wall next to the X-ray chart.

Gold Items Locations Guide

Several Gold Items are hidden across the game. Search the areas described below to find all of them.

Chapter 1

  • Gold Coin - Near the start, you will have to blow up a door to proceed. On the other side, follow the tracks, but don't climb the stairs up to the catwalks. Instead, head between them to find a vent you can enter. Go through the vent into the room beyond to find the coin on a table.
  • Gold Goblet - When you reach the balcony with the artillery gun, head left, climb up the stairs, and enter the door on the left. Climb up the second staircase and go through the door to the left of the machine gun. Head down the hall until you reach a crate covered by a cloth. Crouch so you can find the goblet hidden behind the cloth.
  • Gold Chalice - In the castle, find the main hall and enter the room with the dining table. Search behind the table to find the chalice.
  • Gold Sword - In the castle, when you reach the room with the spiral staircase and the painting of the general, head right to find a statue holding a gold sword.
  • Gold Trophy - On your way to the courtyard, when you reach the hall with a number of crates and barrels against a pillar, break the crate closest to the wall to uncover the trophy.

Chapter 2

  • Gold Hood Ornament - In the courtyard, there is a convertible parked nearby. Search beneath the front bumper to find a hood ornament shaped like a swastika.

Chapter 3

  • Gold Pocket Watch - When Keller is your hostage, there is a pocket watch lying amongst the torture instruments.
  • Gold Egg - Outside, approach the building to your left and head left past it until you reach a small office. Crouch beside the office's right wall to find an egg hidden in a hole.
  • Gold Medallion - When you're outside later on, on your way to the car, climb up the ladder toward the mounted gun. Take the gun, return to the base of the ladder, and shoot the crate to your right to open up a new area. Go inside and head right to find the medallion on a table near the bookshelves.
  • Gold Door Knob - In the train, go east until you past the guard, and then turn left to find an open closet door with a gold door knob.

Chapter 4

  • Gold Plate - On the balcony before you enter the prison transport, you can jump to the ledge to your left to reach the next balcony. From there, go left until you can enter the building. Inside, make your way to the northwest, to a room with a generator. There should be a laser gun and a battery in the room. Take them both and put the battery in the laser gun. Go back the way you came until you reach a grilled metal fence by the stairs. Cut through it with the laser gun to get the plate.
  • Gold Frame - After you get the plate, head upstairs and charge the laser gun. Use it to cut through the area to your right to get past the door. There is another metal fence for you to cut through on the other side. Once you're past that, go over the crates to get the frame.
  • Gold Nugget - In the room where you can see the robot working with coal below you, search through the coal on your left to find the nugget.
  • Gold Helmet - While escaping the prison, turn right from the central office and make your way to the end of the hall, where you should take the stairs to your left. To the southwest of the stairs, go through the hall and then turn right into a room to get the helmet from the closet.

Chapter 5

  • Gold Urn - On your way to talk to Klaus, locate the pillar with the candles. Enter the room to your left and take the crowbar. Leave the room, turn left, and go straight until you reach another room. Inside, use the crowbar to break a wooden board to your left. Take the revealed folder and head on down. Take the cowgirl picture and go into the secret room. To your left, you can crawl through a narrow space. Once you're through, go left, upstairs, left again, and up more stairs, and then search the wall to your left for the urn.

Chapter 6

  • Gold Plate - A gold plate is by the base of the statue, near the right foot.
  • Gold Carafe - When you reach the area with the satellite on the rooftop, use your knife to break the glass case opposite the stairs and grab the carafe from inside.
  • Gold Knife - In that same area, go upstairs and right, into a new room. There is a vent on the ceiling. Open it up and head through it until you reach the end, where the knife is stuck into the cover.
  • Gold Flask - In the lab on the way to the hangar, there is a vent beyond the glass walls. Use a laser to open it up and head through it to the right. Pass the doorway and turn left to find a ladder. Climb up the ladder and use a laser to open the next cover. When you enter the new area, the flask is waiting at the very end.

Chapter 7

  • Gold Ashtray - When you reach the well in the sewers, go to the right and jump down to the opening of a small pipe. Go through until you find a set of stairs, and go upstairs to find the ashtray.

Chapter 8

  • Gold Dagger - Beyond the barred doors, disable the security system and then enter the new area. If you interact with the character to your left, you'll get the dagger.
  • Gold Pistol - In the open area during your search for the battery, go left past the dumpster marked "5" and use the wooden beams there to reach an open window. Inside, go through the first door and search the desk drawers to find a safe combination. Next, take the painting from the wall and open the revealed safe with the combination. The pistol is inside.
  • Gold Bust - In the same building, go downstairs, right, and then downstairs again to find the bust on a table.
  • Gold Mask - While you're piloting the mech, leave to enter the garage with the parked car. Turn left to find a set of stairs that lead you into an office, where the mask waits in an open drawer.

Chapter 9

  • Gold Vase - Go to the room with the opened door to find Anne. Talk to her, and she'll ask you to find her lost wedding ring. Go upstairs, pass by the pillar, and go upstairs again. The ring is in the toilet. Return it to her to get the vase.

Chapter 10

  • Gold Book - As you pilot the tunnel glider, use a laser to break through the chains that bar the door and go through. Turn left and leave the glider. To your left, there is a pipe vent with a narrow passage near it. Enter the passage and swim until you reach an above-water area. Keep going on foot until you reach an area with mattresses, near which the golden book sits.
  • Gold Ladle - Fill the area with water and return to the glider. Head through the large doorway and then turn right. The ladle rests on a platform beneath a pipe vent.
  • Gold Lantern - Return to the glider and backtrack to enter the lower left pipe. At the end of the pipe, leave the glider and swim left until you see a door. Go through it and grab the lantern.
  • Gold Snake - Swim across from the room where you found the lantern and search for a blocked pipe. The snake is near it.
  • Gold Lunula - When you need to cut the mines free to clear a path, cut down the middle mine and swim deeper to find another one. Cut it free and enter the newly-opened tunnel. Head up the stairs to your left and go through the shut door. Fall through the hole in the floor to the platform below. Make your way through the pipe and up the ladder, and then through the hatch door, where you can find the lunula near some crates.

Chapter 11

  • Gold Letter Opener - In the room with the bombs, go upstairs and make your way to the charge station for the laser. You should see two doors. If you are playing through the Furgus timeline, go through the left door. If you are plaything through the Wyatt timeline, go through the door across from the charge station. Once you're through, open the vent with your laser and take the letter opener from beside the radio.
  • Gold Tray - Leave the room and continue past the charge station until you see a darkened room to your right. Enter it and pick up the tray from atop a drawer on the floor.
  • Gold Skull - At the start of the icy bridge, turn left and jump up to grab the skull.
  • Gold Robot - When the golden elevator takes you to the vault, search it to find the little robot.
  • Gold Chamber Pot - Search the other side of the vault to find the chamber pot.

Chapter 12

  • Gold Soldier - In the train car you can use to reach the other side of the bridge, which you have to visit to find several of the enigma codes, enter the left cabin (to find Code #55), and then follow the right-hand side until you can drop down into a new area. A gold soldier toy will be to your left.
  • Gold Compass - From there, turn left and climb the ladder. Go upstairs, head left, and use the ceiling access to reach the roof. Walk across the beam into the next area, cut through the grill, and cross the crates to the left to find the compass.
  • Gold Rabbit - Before you hit the checkpoint, you'll pass a robot cabin. The rabbit is behind the last door.

Chapter 13

  • Gold Cane - In the lobby area, follow the conveyer belt right into a new room, where the cane sits on the right side of the belt.
  • Gold Face Mask - During your search for the space suit, go to the northern side of the building and enter the decontamination chamber. From there, go into the circular room and pick up the mask from beside a bed.
  • Gold Meteor - On the moon, before you go to the command module, make your way right toward the building marked "5." Search the wall on the right until you find the meteor.
  • Gold Bottle - At the bottom of the escalators, pick up the bottle from behind the red bag to your right.

Chapter 14

  • Gold Bangle - After you use the rope to enter the building, go to the opening on the left side and shoot the chain to lower the planks so you can proceed. Continue forward, turn, and cross over the plank to your left to reach the bangle by a drain.
  • Gold Trophy - Shoot the chain to lower the plank. Go down and enter through the blue door. In the first room on your right, examine the blank painting to open a secret area. Inside, grab the trophy from on top of a shelf.

Chapter 15

  • Gold Shoehorn - Upstairs, near the pillar, enter the room to the right of the one where Anne was before. The shoehorn is on a shelf inside.

Chapter 16

  • Gold Trowel - On your way to the castle, dive to collect the trowel.
  • Gold Breastplate - In the castle, on your way to find the cells, search the left side of the room to find the breastplate.
  • Gold Teapot - When you reach the round room with a descending set of stairs, go down and enter the first room on the right. The teapot is inside a trolley by a door.
  • Gold Pot - During the Deathshead fight, use your laser to cut through the crates on the left side of the area. One of them contains the pot.

While you're in the car in Chapter 6, the key chain for the car key is modeled after the Rocket Launcher from Quake 3.

While you're in the resistance base in Chapter 7, head through the hall with the television screens, go downstairs, and then head through the passageway. In the open area on the other side, head either right or left to see Vault 101 from Fallout 3.

Secret Letters Locations Guide

Secret letters are hidden in some of the chapters. Search the areas described below to find all of them.

  1. Letter #1 - In Chapter 1, when you reach the balcony with the artillery gun, head left, climb up the stairs, and enter the door on the left. Climb up the first staircase and enter a room to your right. Grab the letter from atop one of the bunk beds.
  2. Letter #2 - In Chapter 2, once you head downstairs, go right and enter the doorway to your left. Head forward to find another staircase. Climb until you reach a small hole. Look through the hole to see a secret room, and kill the enemy inside. Next, return to the bottom of the stairs and enter the nearby vent to reach the room and collect the letter from on top of the box inside.
  3. Letter #3 - In Chapter 3, when Keller is your hostage, go to the table and open the drawer to find a pair of goggles inside. Put on the goggles and take the letter that was lying beneath them.
  4. Letter #4 - In Chapter 4, on the balcony before you enter the prison transport, you can jump to the ledge to your left to reach the next balcony. Once there, go through the opened window to get the letter from atop a table in the room beyond.
  5. Letter #5 - In Chapter 7, find Anya and pick up the letter from the bed.
  6. Letter #6 - In Chapter 8, when you reach the open area, enter the building with the people around it, and talk to the person on the bed. You'll need to collect medicine by backtracking to the furnace room, climbing up to the catwalk and crossing to the other side, and entering the room to the right. She'll give you the letter once you return with the medicine.
  7. Letter #7 - In Chapter 9, return to the area where you previously found the letter on the bed, and search the nearby shelf for the next letter.
  8. Letter #8 - In Chapter 10, during the tunnel glider section, use a laser to break through the chains that bar the door and go through. Turn left and leave the glider. To your left, there is a pipe vent with a narrow passage near it. Enter the passage and swim until you reach an above-water area. Keep going on foot until you reach an area with mattresses. The letter is hidden to the right of the rightmost mattress.
  9. Letter #9 - In Chapter 13, during your search for the space suit, go to the northern side of the building and enter the decontamination chamber. From there, go into the circular room and climb the stairs. Upstairs, enter the lab and pick up the letter from a desk on the left side.
  10. Letter #10 - In Chapter 15, go upstairs and search the rooms near the pillar until you find the letter lying beside a bed.
