A VR Headset from Microsoft?

By now we’ve all heard about the Oculus Rift, and we’re awaiting news from GDC about Sony’s VR project. Now, it seems we may have a third contender to consider.

The Wall Street Journal wrote a report claiming Microsoft has its own VR headset in development. Microsoft has filed patents related to virtual reality, and it’s believed the project is a fairly new one. Microsoft’s headset should work with the Xbox One and possibly the PC and Xbox 360, as well.

This is still a rumor, but we’ll keep you updated as we learn more. First the Oculus Rift, then Sony, and now Microsoft. Is virtual reality the future of gaming?
