Well, we’ve had some time now to think about what little we know about Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, after its title and new trailer were revealed at E3. By the way, Naughty Dog confirmed that trailer was in-game footage running on the PS4.
But Uncharted 4 may be the last Uncharted game we ever see. Nolan North, who voices series protagonist Nathan Drake, told IGN that he believes Naughty Dog wants this to be the last game, although it isn’t official.
If it is the last game, he hope no other developer tries to continue the series in Naughty Dog’s stead, and we understand where he’s coming from with that.
Of course, between this piece of information and the title “A Thief’s End,” some fans are concerned that Drake will die in this game. The official description of the game does nothing to alleviate those concerns:
“Several years after his last adventure, retired fortune hunter, Nathan Drake, is forced back into the world of thieves. With the stakes much more personal, Drake embarks on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure. His greatest adventure will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he’s willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves.”

At last, after nothing more than a short teaser for the next Uncharted game, Sony’s E3 press conference last night revealed a new trailer and a title. Take a look at Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
There was some speculation that Nathan Drake would not return in Uncharted 4, but now we can say with confidence that he does. That trailer is pretty intriguing on its own, but Gimme Gimme Games noticed something that makes it even more interesting.
When you see the caged skeleton near the end, the sign on the cage reads:
“For we receive the due rewards for our deeds.”
That is a Bible quote, Luke 23:41. It’s said by the good thief during the crucifixion. This, along with the game’s subtitle, “A Thief’s End,” makes us very curious about the direction this game is going to take.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is promised to be a deeper, richer Uncharted experience. It will be released for the PS4 in 2015. We’ll keep you updated.Tags: ps4, trailer, uncharted, uncharted 4

While many eyes are on Naughty Dog for news of The Last of Us Remastered, many more fans are waiting for details about the mysterious Uncharted title in development. We know almost nothing about it, save that it will be a PS4 exclusive.
Naughty Dog’s audio team recently took some time in an interview to explain how the dialogue system in The Last of Us will affect Uncharted 4.
Both The Last of Us and the Uncharted games are narrative-driven, and that means the dialogue is an integral part of the experience.
“A lot of the exposition of that story happens in the dialogue. This creates nightmares for us, because game designers can create situations where they’re not thinking about dialogue, and yet dialogue is very tricky to create. If you and I are sitting across from each other and talking, the projection of my voice will be completely different than if I’m 8 feet away.”
With The Last of Us, the audio team took steps to ensure sound worked properly, and that characters’ voices wouldn’t be cut off because they walked around the corner. Contextual dialogue was another point they focused on, to make sure the characters’ AI didn’t break the atmosphere of realism and fall into the uncanny valley as a result.
“We shipped this game with close to 70,000 of dialogue, which is huge amount for a non-RPG game this size. We also built a context awareness system so that enemies can call out your location when you’re fighting. In order for that to work, you have to record every single object and location that are in the different environments. ‘He’s by the van!’ or ‘She’s by the bar!’ or ‘She’s across the street!’.”
Naughty Dog took great strides with The Last of Us, and “the next Uncharted will benefit heavily from this.”
Meanwhile, a supposed insider promises we’ll get to see more about Uncharted 4 at E3. We certainly hope this rumor proves to be true.

The Uncharted series is one of Naughty Dog’s most popular franchises. With three main-series titles on the PS3 (Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves, and Drake’s Deception), two Vita spin-offs (Golden Abyss and Fight for Fortune), and several media adaptations, it has been quite successful. A fourth entry in the series is planned for the PS4, although we still have very few details about it.
Now rumors are circulating that all of the Uncharted games are going to make it to the PS4, in the form of a special collection that contains all five titles with remastered graphics.
We don’t have any support for this theory yet, and it feels a little early for an Uncharted HD collection, but if we hear anything else, we’ll let you know. Would you be interested in playing an Uncharted collection?Tags: ps4, rumor, uncharted

For fans of the Uncharted series, one of the most exciting pieces of gaming news was the revelation that a fourth game was in the works. We still don’t know a lot about Uncharted 4, but it sounds as though it’s been in development for three years, following the third game’s release in 2011.
Shuhei Yoshida, the president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, mentioned in an interview with Inside Games that “after three years, Naughty Dog’s work has finally become exciting.”
He didn’t actually mention Uncharted 4 by name, but the timing makes that the most likely candidate. Let us know what you think about the Uncharted series and its mysterious upcoming entry. What do you expect from Nathan Drake when his adventures take him to the PS4?Tags: naughty dog, ps4, sony, uncharted, uncharted 4

Sony’s PS4 All Access launch event is now underway and the biggest news to come out of it so far is that Naughty Dog are making a new Uncharted game for the Playstation 4.
You can check out the teaser video which we’ve embedded above, although unfortunately there is no in-game footage or anything like that. In fact it doesn’t give away much information at all! We did notice that the voice in the video doesn’t sound like Nolan North though (Nolan was the voice actor for the main character from previous Uncharted games, Nathan Drake).
That's right, Uncharted is coming to PS4. #GreatnessAwaits

Naughty Dog and Sony Computer Entertainment’s new video game Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune made a name for itself as a cinematic action experience when it released in the final months of 2007, and it sold one million copies in its first 10 weeks. Therefore, it makes sense that Columbia Pictures has pegged it as a good game to adapt into a movie.
The adaptation will be written by Kyle Ward, who is represented by CAA and Benderspink. Ward wrote Lionsgate’s adaptation of Kane & Lynch, and will be working on 20th Century Fox’s Hitman 2 adaptation.
Avi Arad, Charles Roven, Ari Arad and Alex Gartner will produce the Uncharted film. Avi and Ari Arad are currently working with Columbia to develop the film adaptation of James Patterson’s Maximum Ride, which should be directed by Catherine Hardwicke.
Roven and Gartner are working on Season of the Witch, a Nicolas Cage horror film, for Atlas Entertainment. Its release is planned for this year.
That’s a solid lineup of names behind the Uncharted adaptation. Like the game, the movie will follow Nathan Drake, a descendent of Sir Francis Drake, the famous explorer. Drake embarks on a quest to find the legendary El Dorado by following the trail of a cursed statue made out of gold. On his journey, he’ll run into trouble from another treasure hunter, but that’s nothing compared to the danger that arrives when mutant creatures begin attacking them.Tags: uncharted
