There have been some new previews released for Wolfenstein: The New Order, so we have a few more details for you today. First, one of the writers at the official PlayStation Blog confirmed that the game will run at 1080p with 60fps on the PS4.
In a 2013 interview, Creative Director Jens Matthies said The New Order is “hardwired for 60fps” and therefore would have to run at that rate on all platforms. Today, Bethesda Studios OnlySP that it will run at 1080p and 60fps on the Xbox One, as well. It sounds like this is one game, at least, that can avoid the resolution controversy.
The New Order is going to be a story-driven game, with no multiplayer option, and the campaign is rumored to be somewhere between 15-20 hours long, depending on how quickly you can play through some of the sections. We’ll keep you updated if we get confirmation of the playtime. Right now, the new Wolfenstein is looking like a very interesting experience, and we’ll be keeping our eyes on it.Tags: fps, hd, ps4, wolfenstein, xbox one

The third “next generation” console covered here at Cheats.co is the Nintendo Wii U. We don’t often write about it though because, well, it’s just not that popular and has been pretty much written off by nearly all hardcore gamers and a good portion of everyone else.
Notwithstanding it, the Wii U does bring with it some beloved franchises like Mario Bros and of course Zelda. It does have some decent games, it’s just that the console doesn’t really have widespread appeal. It’s next-gen, but not next-gen enough to warrant buying one over a Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 (for most people anyway).
One thing that the Wii U has over the aforementioned consoles, and even their next-generation counterparts, the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One, is the number of native 1080p high resolution game titles available. As CinemaBlend points out, the Wii U has six native 1080p games versus four such games on the PS4 and only two on the Xbox One (note: CB actually list Killer Instinct on the Xbox 360 at 1080p but it’s 720p).
Obviously the situation will change over time as more games are released for the PS4 and Xbox One (heck the consoles are even out yet), but given there is a substantial amount of release titles also arriving with those consoles, it’s kinda surprising that more aren’t running full 1080p.
So which is the real next-generation console?Tags: 1080p, games, hd, ps4, wii u, xbox one
