We’re not entirely sure what’s going on with Call of Duty: Ghosts, but it seems that many PS3 and PS4 players have been banned for unclear reasons, and some feel they didn’t do anything wrong.
One user went to the Call of Duty forums to explain his situation. According to tcsdaniels, who plays Ghosts with his son, their console was permanently banned, and neither of them ever knowingly did anything against the rules.
He believes they and other users wounded up in hacked game lobbies without realizing it, and Activision banned them as a result. The only thing they noticed while playing was that they “were losing a lot more than normal,” but since neither of them is a skilled Call of Duty player, they didn’t think much of it.
A user on Reddit has a similar story. User wuzzup claims to not even know how to cheat or use glitches, but so far the only reply from Activision is generic:
“Bans are put in place after an account has been investigated into. Any code of conduct violations WILL result in a ban. The user is responsible for all actions taken on the account.
All bans are final and will not be reverse. Nor do we provide any additional information or specifics in regards to the ban.”
Other users have also received permanent bans and are questioning why. While there have been some reports of these bans being lifted, many users are still having problems, to the point where a petition was formed to ask Activision to change its policy so that banned players will always be able to find out what got them in trouble.
It’s a terrible feeling to be banned from a game for something you didn’t do, especially when you aren’t even sure what you’re accused of. We’ll keep you updated on the situation.Tags: bans, call of duty, ghosts, ps4

If you’re a fan of Call of Duty: Ghosts, we have good news. The next DLC pack, Devastation, will become available in April. Xbox users will be able to download it on April 3, and it will arrive later for the other platforms.
Devastation includes four new maps to enjoy in multiplayer, Ruins, Behemoth, Collision, and Unearthed. That last one in particular might catch your attention, because Unearthed is based on Modern Warfare 3’s Dome map.
It also includes a new weapon, the Ripper, which is both a submachine gun and an assault rifle. You can switch between them at will. Best of all, if you are an Xbox user with the Season Pass, you can start using the Ripper now. The Ripper will become available for other Season Pass owners before the DLC is released.
Finally, you’ll get access to the second episode of Extinction, which introduces new enemies called the Seeders and the Kraken, and adds new weapon mods.
Devastation will cost $14.99 for players who don’t own the Season Pass. This is the second of four planned DLC packs. Check out the new trailer and let us know your thoughts.Tags: devestation, dlc, ghosts

The newest DLC pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts is called Onslaught. It brings with it four new multiplayer maps, Fog, Containment, Bayview, and Ignition. It also has a new Extinction mode episode, called Nightfall, and a new weapon. If you’re interested, you might be able to try out Onslaught before you buy it.
According to information posted on Pastebin, a free trial of Onslaught will become available on March 21. This supposed leak also points to a demo coming for Ghosts’ multiplayer. The demo would include three maps, Team Deathmatch and Domination, and a sample of Extinction mode. The information also referenced an upcoming sale on the digital version of Ghosts.
Activision hasn’t commented on the rumor yet, but if it’s true, this is excellent news. Demos are always a great way for players to test out a game before they decide to buy it or not, and a DLC trial is a very interesting idea. If the rumors are accurate, are you planning to try out Onslaught or multiplayer? Let us know your thoughts on this and Call of Duty: Ghosts in general.Tags: call of duty, demo, dlc, ghosts, onslaught, rumor

Call of Duty: Ghosts, the latest title in the popular shooter franchise, introduced a game mode known as Extinction. Extinction puts players against aliens, and the first DLC for Extinction will arrive on January 28.
This DLC, which is the first of four planned Extinction DLC episodes and will be a part of the “Onslaught” DLC expansion, is titled “Nightfall.” Nightfall takes place at an Alaskan research base, where the Nightfall Program is investigating the origins of the aliens. Now, since this is an isolated facility in a video game, it should come as no surprise that things go horribly wrong, which is where the gameplay comes in—players join an elite team of soldiers in their mission to get the intel from the base and defeat the aliens.
According to information that has been released, Nightfall continues the Extinction storyline and features two new characters, who will encounter two new alien species, a new weapon, and “a three-story tall terror unlike anything they’ve seen before.”
The gameplay is standard Call of Duty fare, and the complete Onslaught expansion also includes four new maps for multiplayer and the Maverick dual-purpose assault/sniper rifle. Between the story and the gameplay, “Nightfall” should be well-received by fans.Tags: dlc, extinction, ghosts, nightfall

Activision’s Call of Duty series is incredibly popular and March 28-30 will see the second annual Call of Duty Championship, in which 32 of the best CoD teams get together to compete for glory, the right to be called the “World Champions,” and a $1 million prize.
The Championship is held in Los Angeles and is sponsored by Microsoft. Players can be either professional or casual and will come from North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. However, because of its sponsor, only Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners are eligible for the competition. Players will compete in online tournaments to qualify for the Championship. Regional finals will played on the Xbox One in late February and early March. The tournaments, finals, and Championship will all be broadcasted through MLG.tv and other broadcasting programs.
Many PlayStation 3 and 4 players are upset that they cannot compete in the Call of Duty Championship and feel it shows favoritism on Activision’s part. Nevertheless, Microsoft is sponsoring the Championship, so the move is not entirely unexpected. Cheats.co is of course a website that focuses on providing you with cheats, codes, hints, tricks, glitches and more for next generation consoles (being the Wii U, Xbox One and Playstation 4). That said, we know (and believe ourselves) that when it comes to cheating in multiplayer games, that’s just not cool. As a result you will never find any content on Cheats.co that enables you to gain an unfair advantage against any other human players (like online glitches etc).
The developers of Call of Duty: Ghosts obviously feel the same way and have taken it upon themselves to post the following Call of Duty Ghosts online code of conduct. It sets out exactly what sort of infractions/actions might lead to you getting punished or penalized, and then what sort of punishment you can expect.
Check it out and make sure you stay on the right side of the law!
Modding / Hacking – Any user who runs a modified version of game code or uses a modified game profile is subject to penalty.
Pirated Content – Any user who illegally acquires Call of Duty: Ghosts content is subject to penalty.
Boosting – Any user who colludes with another user to exploit the game for the purpose of gaining XP, prestige, game score, weapon level, or in-game unlock is subject to penalty.
Glitching – Any user who abuses an exploit in game code or other established rule of play is subject to penalty. An example includes but is not limited to using a hole in the map geo to intentionally go outside of the map boundary.
Offensive Behavior – Any user who is found to use aggressive, offensive, derogatory or racially charged language is subject to penalty.

The official launch of the PlayStation 4, Sony’s next-gen gaming console, is now upon us with many reporting that their pre-ordered console has already shipped. When the PS4 is officially released on November 15 a large library of launch titles and future games will accompany it. In the little time remaining, Cheats.co will try to predict the kinds of PlayStation 4 cheats the future will bring.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is already available as a current-gen title, and the PS4 version will be very similar to the one already out (upgraded 1080p visuals aside). This first-person shooter does not have many cheats discovered so far, but it does have new gameplay modes that players can unlock through their actions, as well as hidden files to collect for a Trophy. Trophy strategies and similar cheats will be the most likely things we see for this PS4 title. Another current-gen title making the jump to the eighth generation of consoles is DC Universe Online. This comics-based MMORPG has Trophy guides and hints to help players deal more damage, though its online nature means more cheats could appear as time goes on. FIFA 14 is a third game we can speculate about with a good degree of accuracy. Although it has already appeared on numerous systems, this sports game will launch on the PS4 with a new game engine. Based on the current version, FIFA 14 cheats will likely pertain to Trophies and Trophy strategies.
Minecraft is in the interesting position of being a current-gen game announced for next-gen systems that is not going to be a launch title. Although the PS4 version was supposed to release alongside the console, it has been delayed. Nevertheless, this sandbox game is so popular that it’s easy to predict that its cheats will look a lot like those for the versions already out—unlockables, Trophy guides, and strategies to take advantages of glitches for cool effects like invisibility and item duplication. As a fairly similar experience across the platforms it has appeared on, it should hold few surprises.
However, these next two games won’t be fully understood until the PS4 releases, as they are both exclusive launch titles. Killzone: Shadow Fall has caused much excitement amongst series fans and newcomers alike. As a first-person shooter based on a special forces group known as the Shadow Marshals, any cheat codes for the game will probably unlock new weapons, give the player boosted health or even invincibility, or unlock scenes and areas from the game. Other likely possibilities include bonus costumes and humorous character effects. While Shadow Fall looks at the dark side of things, another one of the PS4’s big launch titles is a family-friendly action game called Knack. As a new IP, there is little to compare Knack to, but its gameplay suggests we could see cheat codes that would unlock Knack’s various abilities or grant him invincibility. There will likely be strategies on how to easily get through each level.
Whether they are interested in Knack, Killzone, or one of the many other PlayStation 4 titles, players who follow speculation about Sony’s next-gen console should get ready for its imminent release and decide if they want to pick one up or pass.Tags: cheats, codes, dc universe online, fifa 14, ghosts, killzone, knack, minecraft, ps4, shadowfall, trophies, unlockables

Not quite Sony… well not yet anyway
While Call of Duty: Ghosts only runs at 720p on the Xbox One, it has a better framerate than the 1080p PS4 version according to gaming websites that have reviewed and compared both titles (including both IGN and Polygon).
The good news for PS4 owners is that the developers of the game, Infinity Ward, have already taken note and recently told Giant Bomb that they are working on a patch to fix the frame rate issue on Sony’s next generation console. Given that there seems to be no technical reason why the game shouldn’t run at 60 frames per second at 1080p on the Playstation 4 (it’s not that graphically demanding) hopefully IW can work their magic and come up with something to set things right.
Meanwhile the guys over at Polygon decided to give the Xbox One version of the game a better review score because of the higher framerate it can produce. And having compared the visuals of the two versions (given their differing resolutions) and finding it difficult to really tell we can’t say we blame them either.Tags: call of duty, ghosts, ps4, xbox one
