Far Cry 4 is another one of the many games we got to learn more about at E3. It was featured at both Ubisoft and Sony’s press conferences, which provided a hearty look at the game. The first trailer, shown by Ubisoft, introduced us to Pagan Min, the dictator who serves as Far Cry 4’s villain.
Along with that, which gives a pretty good idea of what this guy is like, Ubisoft also revealed some gameplay details. One of the most interesting is that Far Cry 4 has a co-op mode that’s even accessible to players who don’t have the game, on the PS3/PS4. If you have Far Cry 4 and are a PlayStation Plus member, you’ll receive get ten “Keys to Kryat.” You can give these keys to friends without the game to let them download an app that will let them join you in co-op mode, although their co-op time will be limited. If they then buy Far Cry 4, they can transfer over anything earned from co-op to the full game.
We aren’t sure what the limitations for the invited player will be, and we don’t know if there will be any way to obtain keys for non-PS+ subscribers. Nevertheless, this is a cool idea and a great way to get more players interested in the game.
Now, why not take a look at the gameplay and co-op shown off later at E3?
Far Cry 4 adds a lot of new elements to the series besides co-op. For example, you can throw bait, ride elephants, and perform a melee kick attack. How does it look? Are you planning to pick it up for your Xbox One or PS4 (or Xbox 360/PS3/PC) when it launches on November 18?Tags: co-op, far cry, far cry 4, gameplay, ps4, trailer, video, xbox one

Far Cry 4 won’t be out until November, but we already know more about the story than we expected to–and more than we’re supposed to, for that matter. A preorder page appeared on Uplay earlier today, and it included a short blurb about the story. The page has since been taken down, but you can check out the cached version here.
“Far Cry® 4 delivers an unparalleled next-gen experience in an entirely new and massive open world.
“Hidden in the majestic Himalayas lies Kyrat, a country steeped in tradition and violence. You are Ajay Ghale. Traveling to Kyrat to fulfill your mother’s dying wish, you find yourself caught up in a civil war to overthrow the oppressive regime of dictator Pagan Min.
“Explore and navigate this vast open world, where danger and unpredictability lurk around every corner. Here, every decision counts, and every second is a story. Welcome to Kyrat.”
The cover art for Far Cry 4 stirred up a good deal of controversy when it was revealed, but our bet is that the guy in pink is Pagan Min. Thanks to a post by the game’s Creative Director, we can say for sure he’s not the protagonist.
Just so it's clear for those jumping to conclusions: He's not white and that's not the player. http://t.co/zvqe3uzZI6

One concern that’s kept the controversy alive is that even if the guy on the cover is a villain, maybe his reign of oppression can only be stopped by a white hero. Well, since the protagonist’s name is Ajay Ghale, our guess is that he’s Indian.
Regardless of who these people are, it sounds as though they’ll have an interesting story. What do you think?Tags: far cry 4, info, leak, story

According to Ubisoft, it will be set in the Himalayas, which matches the early rumors. Specifically, it is set in the fictional land of Kryat, “ruled by a despotic self-appointed king.”
If you preorder, you’ll automatically get the Limited Edition, which includes the three “Hurk’s Redemption” missions as well as his harpoon gun, the Impaler.
It was also confirmed that Far Cry 4 will be shown at Ubisoft’s E3 conference. Are you looking forward to this game?Tags: announcement, far cry, far cry 4

We haven’t heard much about the Far Cry series since the release of Blood Dragon in April 2013, but Eurogamer claims to have details about the next game.
According to Eurogamer’s unnamed sources, Far Cry 4 will come out for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One in the first half of 2015. It will be set in the Himalayas and feature many new features as a result, including elephants the player can ride. However, the gameplay and map structure will be very similar to that of Far Cry 3.
Ubisoft hasn’t commented on the matter, so consider this just a rumor until we hear otherwise. Eurogamer claims news on Far Cry 4 will be coming at E3, so perhaps we only have a few months to wait, at most.Tags: far cry 4, ps4, rumor, ubisoft, xbox one
