Evolve is one of the many games coming out this October, and for multiplayer fans, it might be one of the most interesting. With 4-versus-1 combat, four players get to take control of Hunters while a fifth controls a gigantic monster.
Back when the second four Hunters were revealed, we wondered how many there would be in total. Well, out of E3 we learned that there will be 12 Hunters for you to play as when the game launches. No specifics were given about the remaining four, but we assume that is one more for each class.
Three monster options will be available at launch. A fourth will come as a part of Evolve’s DLC, but although the DLC is a preorder bonus, it won’t be ready for the game’s release. Players who preorder the game will simply be able to get the DLC for free when it comes out. That’s a nice way to keep game content as a preorder bonus without having day-1 DLC.
Thanks to IGN, you can check out a 14-minute gameplay demo from E3.
Evolve will release on October 21 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. (Despite the system being built for this sort of 4-on-1 multiplayer, it isn’t planned for the Wii U.) What do you think? Are you looking forward to trying this out with your friends?Tags: demo, evolve, gameplay, ps4, trailer, video, xbox one

For fans of multiplayer games, Evolve has a pretty compelling premise. Four player-controlled Hunters face off against one giant player-controlled monster. 4-on-1 multiplayer isn’t seen very often, and Evolve seems to be making the most of it.
If you’re excited, you’ll be pleased to know that we have new gameplay footage to show you today, along with a very important piece of information–the release date. Evolve will be released for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 21 (October is going to be a huge month for gamers). If you preorder the game, you’ll get the Monster Expansion Pack, which includes the “Savage Goliath” skin and a new monster to download once it’s made available.
Want to see Evolve in action to help make up your mind about buying it? Check out this new trailer, which shows a new map and four new Hunters. While there are four main classes, these Hunters are different from the four seen in previous footage. Hyde, Lazarus, Maggie, and Bucket each have their own unique style, adding even more variety and possible combinations.
Evolve will be playable at E3, which is only a few weeks away, and if you play it, be sure to share your impressions with us. In the meantime, share your thoughts on the new Hunters and what we’ve seen so far.Tags: evolve, gameplay, ps4, trailer, xbox one

If you’re a fan of shooters, especially multiplayer shooters, there’s a good chance you’re interested in Evolve, Turtle Rock Studios’ cooperative FPS coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year. Evolve features four vs. one gameplay: four hunters fighting a single powerful monster. In an interesting twist for this sort of game, the monster is also controlled by a player.
Today, we’ve got a brand-new trailer to show you. It’s short, but it shows gameplay for both the monsters. Best of all, it isn’t just a trailer for the game, but also a teaser for much more footage to be shown on April 24. Take a look.
Are you looking forward to Evolve? Would you rather play as one of the four hunters, or as the monster?Tags: evolve, ps4, trailer, xbox one

Turtle Rock Studios’ next-gen shooter Evolve generated a lot of excitement when it was unveiled this January, largely because of its unique 4-versus-1 multiplayer concept. Players are already able to preorder it for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, although we don’t have a release date yet.
Or do we?
Earlier today, a Reddit user took a screenshot of Australian retailer Ozgameshop.com’s preorder page for Evolve. It listed a release date of September 5, 2014.
These leaked release dates often are false, so don’t pin too many hopes on this. The date has since been removed from the site, suggesting it was either a legitimate leak or a mistake. We’ll keep you updated.

Evolve is the name of the upcoming PC, Xbox One, and PS4 game created by Turtle Rock Studios, the developer behind Counter-Strike and Left 4 Dead. Evolve is a brand-new IP and will be published by 2K Games, the publisher behind Borderlands and other popular series.
The game will feature 4-player co-op in which a team of players fight a monster controlled by an additional player. The monster will strengthen as time goes on and possesses a range of powerful attacks. Players fighting the monster will choose between various alien hunters, each of whom has unique abilities and usable items.
Since Turtle Rock Studios is behind it, Evolve’s multiplayer should be strong. Early looks at the game have shown both co-op and competitive aspects to the multiplayer, high replay value, and a thrilling action experience.Tags: evolve, pc, ps4, xbox one
