Respawn originally intended to close the Titanfall beta tomorrow morning, but it turns out you’ll be able to enjoy it for a little longer.
— Titanfall (@Titanfallgame) February 17, 2014
Titanfall’s Twitter account announced that the beta will now last until 6 PM PST on February 19, giving players more than a full extra day to play it. This is especially good for players who only got access to the beta when it was opened up to the public, since they have had less time with it than the original batch of beta testers.
Although the beta is only open to PC and Xbox One users, it has been received with praise and enthusiasm. Not everyone likes it, but the majority of players does, and anticipation for Titanfall is through the roof. Enjoy your extra day with the beta and let us know your impressions.Tags: beta, close, date, titanfall

The Tokyo Games Show is in full swing and Sony have finally revealed both when the Playstation 4 will be released in Japan and exactly what the launch games line up will look like.
February 22 2014 is the date that Japanese gamers can look forward to getting their hands on the PS4 and the 19 games currently scheduled to launch at the same time. Check out the full list below.
Note that Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn will actually be a beta (and a much-anticipated one at that, we’re thinking!).
A new trailer showcasing the PS4’s launch games lineup has also been released. Take a look below.

Microsoft recently began full production of the Xbox One console and today they’ve announced it will be available in thirteen initial launch markets from November 22 2013.
Those initial markets are Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, UK, and USA, with more to follow in 2014. You’ll probably recall that this number was originally cut down from 21 due to what Microsoft called localisation issues (to do with Kinect and voice commands/dashboard issues).
In terms of it’s main competition, the Playstation 4, Microsoft is bringing the Xbox One to the market one week later in the United States (where the PS4 launches on November 15) ,but one week earlier than other regions (PS4 arrives in Europe on November 29).
So that’s pretty much it: PS4 launching November 15 at $399 and the Xbox One launching November 22 at $499. Which have you pre-ordered?Tags: date, launch, microsoft, release, xbox one

Two days ago we posted that Kotaku thought the Xbox One was going to launch on November 8, primarily thanks to a well-placed source at Walmart that it had. Well, Kotaku has since come out and admitted that the console may not actually be arriving then, as originally thought.
Conveniently, they have a new source “close to Microsoft” who’s told them the November 8 release date is incorrect and that the actual date will be later in November. All in all I think it’s been a great link bait campaign for Kotaku. The bottom line is we are no closer to knowing a release date than when we started.
There is another Xbox One release date rumor flying around today that we’re not even going to bother linking to. Basically though, “an un-named source close to a large organization” has said it will be November 22. Absolutely zero other details are provided.
Tomorrow, One Cheats will have it’s own even more mysterious, more anonymous, and more unreliable source post a release date rumor for you. Stay tuned!Tags: date, launch, release, rumor

We are guilty. Guilty of reporting the rumors that the PS4 might be released in October and we take full responsibility. We’re sorry for getting your hopes up, as it turns out that Sony had never once considered launching in October!
Speaking to VideoGamer.com, SCE UK chief Fergal Gara confirmed that they had heard and read all of the October release date rumors, but that they were simply made up…
It was always going to be November. Yesterday there were some rumours of October, but rumours are rumours. I’ve never heard October mooted internally. So we’re just delighted we’re locked on for November.
We happy things are locked in for November too. It’s less than three months’ time to November 15, so not that long to wait really…Tags: date, launch, release

August 20 could be the day we find out the release date for the Playstation 4 if a recent post on the official European Playstation blog is anything to go by.
The event happening on and from August 20 of course is Gamescom 2013 in Cologne, Germany and Sony have said they’ll be kicking off their press conference at 18:00 BST with a “briefing to media on our release plans for Playstation 4″… Other items concerning the PS3 and PS Vita will also be discussed.
In case you want to tune in live (or stay awake for us to report any news), 18:00 BST is 10:00 PDT (same day) and 03:00 AEST (next day). Finger’s crossed we get some solid PS4 release date information – 20 August is only two days away!Tags: date, gamescom, launch, release

The release date of the Xbox One is November 27 2013, if Amazon is to be believed.
The Amazon page for the Xbox One has been updated to state that “This item will be released on November 27, 2013.” Several other pages for launch title games such as Forza Motorsport 5, Dead Rising 3 and Kinect Sports: Rivals have also been updated to reflect the new date.
Microsoft is yet to provide an official release date for the Xbox One, but has said the console will be launched during November. The November 27 date does put it on the right side of Thanksgiving and Black Friday (the 28th), which was always going to be a goal for Microsoft (and will be for Sony and its release of the PS4 too).
The only bad thing I guess is that the 27th means a reasonably long wait through November to get our hands on the X1!Tags: amazon, date, release, rumor
