New Trailer, Screenshots and Gameplay Video for Destiny

Destiny Earth

As promised, today was a big day for Destiny. Bungie released new videos, showed more gameplay, and lifted the veil to give out all sorts of details and information. The first trailer to appear, in fact, came from GameStop, to announce its Destiny preorder bonus. If you remember the Shrike bikes that appeared in a screenshot not that long ago, GameStop preorders will give you an “Upgraded Sparrow” bike.

But we’re sure you’re more interested in the big look at what you can expect from Destiny, not just a short trailer. Today, Bungie released a gameplay video with just a touch over 7 minutes of gameplay footage. It features a Strike mission, cooperative gameplay against dangerous enemies. This one takes the Fireteam to a place called the Devil’s Lair. Check it out!

Best of all, if you’re going to be at E3, you’ll be able to play Destiny yourself! (Just expect to stand in a very, very long line.) In the meantime, PlayStation Access has uploaded a video where you can learn more about the game straight from Bungie’s Eric Osborne.

We’ve gotten to hear a lot about various types of gameplay now, and since Destiny is a very social game, you might be looking forward to trading items with other players. Sadly, you’ll have to wait a little while. Bungie does plan to implement this feature, but announced today that it will not be available at the start. Don’t be sad, though! Check out the latest batch of 21 screenshots, and tell us what you think about Destiny now that you’ve gotten to see more of it.
