Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the prequel/prologue to The Phantom Pain, is on its way out in March for both PS4 and Xbox One, and there seems to be a bit of confusion about just how long it is.

Game Informer previewed Ground Zeroes in the March edition of their magazine and said the main campaign can be completed in two hours. They did add that the side content and extra missions adds more value to the experience, but a two hour main campaign sounds a bit weak for a game priced at $40 for the Xbox One/PS4 physical versions. (The downloadable Xbox 360/PS3 version costs $20, and the downloadable Xbox One/PS4 version costs $30.)

However, Ayako, Hideo Kojima’s assistant, told OnlySP that the rumors of the game being only 2-5 hours long are not true.

Previously, Kojima had said Ground Zeroes contained multiple open-world environments. It has multiple missions, as well as collectibles to find. Today, Kojima also tweeted a picture of a member of the press finishing the main mission.

So how long is Ground Zeroes? With one source saying the main campaign is less than two hours long and another saying the report of 2-5 hours long is false, we can’t be sure yet. We’ll let you know if any more definite information comes to light.
