Everything we hear about Dragon Age: Inquisition makes it sound even more exciting. New details just came out in OXM, and a user named Jaldaris93 on the Bioware forums was kind enough to compile all of the main points.

There will be 40 possible endings to Inquisition, based on your character and choices throughout the game. According to Bioware, these endings will all be “meaningfully different,” a clarification that we can’t help but see as a reference to the Mass Effect 3 controversy. We’ll take this as a promise that such an incident won’t be repeated.

The adventure will not be confined to Fereldan, but will cover five different regions: Fereldan, The Free Marches, Orlais, Nevarra, and the Dales. Your actions in these regions will affect the environment, from creating trade routes to hunting species to scarcity.

We also have just a handful of new details on the party members. Solas the elf is an apostate mage, and the Iron Bull is an outcast Qunari mercenary. An elven archer named Sera was also confirmed as a companion. There will be no additional party members gained through DLC this time.

Your character, the Inquisitor, can have one of eight different voices, four male voices and four female voices. They aren’t further divided according to race. All players will share the same prologue/origin section, in which they will determine their background details.

These are the details that stood out to us the most, but be sure to check out the original post for yourself.

We also have some great news for fans of a certain Dragon Age character. Today, Bioware confirmed that Alistair will appear in Inquisition.

40 different endings? Visiting Orlais and other locations? If Bioware holds true to everything they’ve set about Inquisition, it sounds like it’s going to be a breathtaking experience. Share your thoughts in the comments and let us know how you feel about the upcoming Dragon Age game.
