Activision had an earnings call today, and overall they seem to be in good shape. They took in $4.58 billion revenue in 2013, which is 5.76% lower than their 2012 revenue. Their fourth quarter earnings, however, were huge–$1.52 billion instead of their forescasted $1.26 billion. In the third quarter, they had only earned $691 million. World of Warcraft also ended the year with 7.8 million subscribers, an increase over the previously reported number.

They also gave their thoughts on Destiny. Destiny has caused a lot of excitement in the video game community, and most people have high hopes for it, including Activision. CEO Bobby Kotick said during their earnings call that Destiny will be “the best-selling new video game IP in history.”

We’re excited to learn more about Destiny. With the interest it’s already earning, Kotick’s prediction could very well come true.
