You can move the clock on your phone settings to gain money, and instantly speed up your research time. No more waiting. My 3 main turrets were maxed out before I got a quarter of the way through.

This  also  works  with  your  first  12  commercial  views  for  coins  as  well  as  the  daily  log  in  rewards.  (They  expire  after  so  many  views)  Keep  moving  your  phone  the  appropriate  number  of  hours  ahead  to  continue  gaining  easy  coins.
