Here’s a rumor that’s taking the Internet by storm, especially amongst Call of Duty fans. While not an exclusive series, Call of Duty has had a focus on the Xbox brand for a while now. Call of Duty games were developed with the main focus being on Xbox consoles, Xbox versions have timed DLC exclusivity deals, and so on. Well, all that might be about to change.

According to Pete “FamousMortimer” Dodd, a source we’ve shared rumors from before, Activision has plans to make the PS4 the “lead platform” for the Call of Duty series. He doesn’t know if that will change the way DLC is released, but he feels it will at least have an immediate effect on fans’ perception of the two consoles.

Until Activision actually makes such an announcement, however, this is just a rumor. It’s not unthinkable, as Activision has favored Sony’s consoles when it comes to the Destiny beta, and additional rumors claim Destination PlayStation showed details about the next Call of Duty game.

What are your thoughts? Do you think this is true?
