Not quite Sony… well not yet anyway

While Call of Duty: Ghosts only runs at 720p on the Xbox One, it has a better framerate than the 1080p PS4 version according to gaming websites that have reviewed and compared both titles (including both IGN and Polygon).

The good news for PS4 owners is that the developers of the game, Infinity Ward, have already taken note and recently told Giant Bomb that they are working on a patch to fix the frame rate issue on Sony’s next generation console. Given that there seems to be no technical reason why the game shouldn’t run at 60 frames per second at 1080p on the Playstation 4 (it’s not that graphically demanding) hopefully IW can work their magic and come up with something to set things right.

Meanwhile the guys over at Polygon decided to give the Xbox One version of the game a better review score because of the higher framerate it can produce. And having compared the visuals of the two versions (given their differing resolutions) and finding it difficult to really tell we can’t say we blame them either.
